Millan has over has 15 years of humanitarian and disaster management experience with a strong background in Public and Development Management.
As GIDREM’s Managing Director, he is responsible for providing strategic guidance and leading the company’s activities and building relationships with key DRR stakeholders. Millan has worked extensively with both the NGO and UN sectors, specifically with the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA), covering several countries across Africa and beyond. He has also acted as Humanitarian Advisor to at least seven UN Resident Coordinators.
He has led and supported the development of legislative and strategic frameworks to many governments in the humanitarian and DRR sphere. Millan holds a Master’s Degree in Forced Migration Studies and was visiting lecturer at the Wits School of Public Health covering the Health Consequences of Forced Migration.
He has a second Master of Management Degree in Public and Development Management (P&DM) from the Wits School of Governance.

Elodie holds a first Master’s Degree in International Relations and a second one in Humanitarian Action and Law, as well as a diploma in Emergency Management and Risk Reduction.
Originally from France, she grew up in several countries of the Middle East, before completing her studies in Aix-en-Provence, France, and working for several international organizations (UNHCR, IOM and GIZ) in South Africa and Senegal.
In her current role, Elodie is responsible for coordinating GIDREM’s main activities (e.g. consultancies, trainings, research) and for strengthening partnerships with key stakeholders. Passionate about the geopolitics of the African continent, humanitarian action and climate change issues, she is committed to changing the current narrative on Africa, highlighting local best practices and innovations.
Research and Programme Development Consultant
Jessica is a proven institutional/business development professional and an International Relations expert with 12+ years of international experience in the field of DRR, climate change and UN-mandated institutional development projects, with a strong emphasis on developing countries and the African continent.
Prior to joining Gravitazz and providing research and institutional development support to the team, Jessica worked for the United Nations University in Bonn, Germany, where she spearheaded a number of capacity-building initiatives and government collaborations in Sub-Saharan Africa.
She holds a Master’s degree in International Relations and Development Studies from the Barcelona Centre for International Affairs and UAB and completed her BA Honor’s programme in International Business Administration at Bournemouth University in the UK. As a passionate linguist, she fluently converses in her mother tongue German as well as English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese.
