We are glad to announce that registrations are currently open for a special mixed course on Disaster Risk Management to be held in Johannesburg, South Africa, between 22-26 May 2017 (Registration deadline: 22 April 2017). 

This package, offered by the Gravitazz Institute, is entitled “Disaster Risk Management Special Short Course Package” and will comprise of the following modules:

  • Climate Change and Water Resource Management for Drought-Prone Areas

  • Information Management for Decision-Making in Disasters and Humanitarian Emergencies

  • Strategic Disaster Risk Planning and Management

  • Monitoring, Early Warning and Early Response to Emergencies

  • Gender, Age and Disability: An Inclusive Approach to Disaster Risk Reduction

The modules included in the package are aimed at Disaster Risk Reduction professionals and practitioners from the public and private sectors, young graduates, as well as anyone with a professional interest in DRR and other related matters.
