Founded in 2012, Gravitazz began as an ambitious initiative to integrate disaster risk management into Africa’s development and humanitarian strategies. Our journey has seen us establish offices in Namibia, the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Cameroon and finally establishing Head Office in Johannesburg, South Africa. Out work has included groundbreaking achievements such as:
- Organizing the First Africa Conference on the Economic Costs of Disasters.
- Spearheading the domestication of the Sendai Framework in 45 African countries.
- Launching the Disaster Management Connect Online Platform to bridge gaps between practitioners and policymakers.
